Greetings from New Life Church in Jamestown, ND! God is doing some pretty cool stuff here in our location as I am sure He is doing in Bismarck and Beulah. I want to share with you updates with what is going on here.
My wife and I came to Jamestown 6 months ago and it has been… wow! God is good! We just had two outreach events and our first EVER Sunday morning service! Well, let’s start with Friday, March 17th with our Encounter Event. Encounter is a theatrical telling of the story of God by YWAM (Youth With A Mission) Boston chapter. It was a multi-faceted artistic production involving theater, music, dance, and visual art. It was nothing like I have ever seen before! We had 50-60 people in attendance with an awesome time of worship and prayer at the end where God was doing great things in each person’s heart. I cannot wait for the testimonies to follow! I believe the Spirit ignited callings and revival in peoples’ hearts that night.
On Saturday, March 18th, 2017 we had our Family Fun Day event. We had inflatables, 9 square, door prizes, concessions, a prayer table, and more ready for those in town looking for something fun to do. We had approximately 360 in attendance! We had great conversations and wonderful opportunities to show how much we value family. We want people to know we are in their corner and praying for them constantly, because we want God to work in their families. We also passed out water bottles at the Runnin' of the Green event here in town with total count being 600-700 bottles. One person said, “New Life Church?! This must be holy water!” We were blessed by Coca-Cola here in town with a donation of 1000 bottles for this event- free! What a blessing and great opportunity to show God’s love in a practical way.
Sunday we had our first service and the presence of God was so real and refreshing. We had 23 people in attendance including one new family! WOOHOO! I do not despise small beginnings at all. As we encounter God, discover our purpose, and tell others about it, He will cause the increase!
Join me in declaring what the Psalmist says in Psalm 145:1-6 says, “I will exalt you, my God and King, and praise your name forever and ever. I will praise you every day; yes, I will praise you forever. Great is the Lord! He is most worthy of praise! No one can measure His greatness! Let each generation tell its children of your mighty acts; let them proclaim your power. I will meditate on your majestic, glorious splendor and your wonderful miracles. Your awe-inspiring deeds will be on every tongue; I will proclaim your greatness,” (NLT).
